It is an official propaganda photo that shows a Luftwaffe NCO receiving first aid after being wounded in a battle against partisans in Drvar (modern day western Bosnia and Herzegovina). It was taken by a man named Henisch of the Propaganda Company 693 on June 1, 1944.
